Today is the Spring Equinox: marking the start of the Spring season of rebirth and realignment

The more I align myself with the seasons, the more ease is coming into my life.

During winter I have allowed myself time to rest and dream. Simply to pause and allow. I used to hate the winter and wish the time away. Now, I notice that I am a little reluctant to embrace the new season. I am not quite ready to emerge from the stillness and solitude that winter affords (once we are through the hectic build up to Christmas holidays that is).

Health-wise, winter has been a time of gentle activity - running was no longer possible as I took care of some physical rehab, which meant walks in nature took centre stage. Now that I am able to do slightly more intensive exercise like yoga and swimming, I got into the pool for the first time in months and felt so much gratitude to be able to move my body through the water. To allow it to wash over me and soothe my tired soul.

I have noticed as winter was coming to an end and we were on the cusp of Spring that new ideas started pushing up, just like the crocuses around me. I feel more connected in my work to what I want to create in the year ahead. I am writing more and creating more content that feels good and is aligned with the purpose of my business (a new self-paced course, a new group program coming in autumn 2023, and new content to be freely available in service to my clients and community). I am also allowing more space to see where and how I want to spend my time. To resist the usual urgency to sign up to trainings and retreats and allow things to unfold with more patience. Resisting immediate gratification!

Today officially marks the switch to this new season of Spring.

We often talk about a “spring clean” for our physical spaces. But this is also a time for spring cleaning our psyche, our inner world - habits, patterns that are no longer serving us. All transitions, including the seasonal ones, call on us to let go of the old in order to embrace the new.

Whilst this time of year is not quite the full shedding represented by autumn, it is nonetheless a time which invites us to clear out what is needed in order for new ideas, projects, beginnings to truly thrive. What needs to be cleared out of your inner world in order for you to thrive this year?

Revisit your intentions or goals from January. What did you want to bring into your life this year? What changes did you hope to make? Perhaps these intentions have lain dormant during the winter period and are now ready to be pushed a little further into fruition.

Spring is a time of hope and renewal, of new beginnings and growth.

I invite you to ask yourself:  what is longing to be born? How can I call the intentions and desires from the New Year into life?

Spring is a great time to harness the powerful energy of rebirth to push through layers of resistance and make those intentions real.

This season holds a sense of possibility. Whether you are deep into your personal growth, or just beginning your journey, this time of year is a great time to turn towards growth.

Imagine when summer comes along being able to reap the benefits out and about in the heat and high energy of summer! Imagine feeling different - about yourself and about your life. Imagine the realisation of a creative project that you dreamed about during winter, coming into fruition by the summer by giving it your attention now.

How might you align yourselves with the rhythm of this new season that is upon us?
